Clearly not at full fitness but glimpses of what he can do. Rightly substituted, tired badly. Probably our least effective player today, but the run out will have done him good and clearly theres lots more to come. |  |

Thought he was hit and miss on the ball. But as you say he was always looking for and finding space cutting inside. A lot more to come based on that.
And, generally speaking, we need to start trusting those movements and passes into those central areas 30-40 yards out. There were acres of space at times for a player like Celina and Fraser (or Edwards) to get the ball and turn but we only played a few balls in that area. |  |

Mostly on the left but he came inside a bit more as the game went on.
Fraser was pretty fluid and popped up across the width of the pitch. And it let Celina and Burns find space inside a few times to good effect.
Lots more to come from Celina and that attacking three, I think. With Edwards to also come in and Chaplin, Aluko, Barry to show more of what they can do. Quite a ridiculous set of options at this level – if they can start getting on each other’s wavelength a bit more they could be unplayable for periods during games.
We only saw a glimpse of it during that 15 minutes of pressure before and after the goal. But, more than the lead, it seemed to give us the mental edge for the rest of the game and Lincoln looked more wary even chasing the equaliser. | |
