and the 'going well before the take over' had Wigan just as near to relegation as there were to a play off place (without the 12 point deduction)

Wigan finished 13th on 59 points in the Championship before the 12 points deduction. That’s certainly not a bad return before all the mismanaging above Cook’s head by the owners. [Post edited 4 Oct 2021 15:54]
