NBC, one of the big four network channels is showing Man City v Chelsea women. True, not showing it live but they are showing the entire game. Even though women’s football has been popular here for some time, a major network showing a women’s game from Europe just would never have happened previously.

The USA women’s National team has always been strong - think back to the Mia Hamm days - but I genuinely don’t know if there’s a WSL equivalent over here. I find there’s only so much time you can devote to sports; between ITFC and running my kids here there and everywhere to soccer and basketball there’s not much time for anything else. | |
