The keeper and all of the defence that played many of the first few games of this season ( bar Burgess and without the break up play of Morsy in front of them ) play together tonight and surprise surprise make errors and concede goals …

Maybe now we can stop the noise that says get them back in the team , they couldn’t even stop a team of u21s

I’d say that’s a fair comment tbh . Hladky couldn’t catch a cold … Burgess offers nothing , Penney can’t pass to a blue shirt . KVY and Woolfie did ok but did all else in that defence tonight .

Penny looks like a left winger playing at left back to me

He was involved in some decent moves too but he definitely looks pretty suicidal at times

I still prefer attacking full backs who can overload

He and KVY would work better with 3 at the back, I half wonder if you could play an overlapping centre back who joins the midfield on attacks and sits back in the defence when defending?

It might gives us a bit more defensive cover
