Years ago it was reported that there was a list of managers who would not be accepted by the fans and Megson was on the shortlist of one.

I bloody hope that if there is a similar list knocking about now that Lennon is on the bloody thing.

I liked him as Hibs manager. Thought he did a very good job. I wouldn’t say no if it was up to me.

But Lennon’s a spiky, adversarial personality (which I don’t mind) and if the numbskulls didn’t like Mick giving it back to them then they’ll be frothing pretty much from the start with Lennon.
