Was pretty much downhill from this point for MM with the lack of investment really started to hit. 4 points from the next 2 games meant we looked a decent bet for the play-offs, but by mid-feb we lost Fraser and were playing the likes of Foley and Pringle. Not to mention the midfield trio of Hyam, Skuse and Douglas for the visit of Warnock's Rotherham in March.

Just 6 wins from the last 20 games (including the last 2 games of the season) meant the season finished with a whimper and when Murphy was sold in August it was only heading one way.

I do struggle a bit with looking at a few months of a decent run in the 2nd tear as some sort of halcyon period for us, even if we are in a worst state now. But I'm sure we'd all take being able to play and beat one of the Championship favourites now.

This feels like the longest #BanterEra in history. It's been so feckin grim.

Happy Monday!
