The best squad in the league? 17:03 - Jan 29 with 582 viewsDJR

As with many games this season, too many of our players appear to lack the basics such as composure on the ball, the ability to keep onside, the ability to hold up the ball, the ability to make probing passes, the ability to cross and the ability to shoot. If Oxford win their game in hand the gap will be back to 11 points, and with performances like today and the last two, at present you couldn't see us being favourites if we were to make the play-offs. It was also the type of game where I am not sure if Morsy would have made much of a difference because he has featured in quite a few of our uninspiring games.

It’s just hype. We’re exactly where we deserve to be in this league and the recruitment has again been poor. We need to take the Rotherham approach, bring in some fighters who know this league and stop trying to play top tap to the back in League. I

After 46 games you can't argue where you've finish in the league and I doubt very much if we'll be in that top 6 come May. We might have better players on paper, but the decent sides in L1 are collectively more effective than us and have greater resilience. They find ways to win or get draws in matches where they have been outplayed. Typically, we start off poorly and in the main play the rest of the game like that while looking less and less of a threat and end up unsurprisingly with nothing. Looking at our defeats, many of those games have been like that and that's why we aren't doing anything again this season. 10 defeats and we aren't even in February speaks volumes.
