The amount of missed placed / intercepted passes last night! 07:28 - Mar 9 with 443 viewstivo

Was very, very high!

BUTTT, this is not a negative post. There were more misplaced and more intercepted because we're being so much more positive with our approach. Under the last 3 managers if someone was on the ball with a 100% safe pass back or to the side in defence they would take it, now they're clearly encouraged to pass and move, look for 1-2's or take 5 or 6 paces forward and look for movement.

Plus the tracking back, the pressing and the harassing of the other team as soon as we lose the ball was immense last night!

I have no problem with the team losing the possession up field because we're trying to make something happen.

The other thing was the number of attempts to drag the ball back towards the edge of the box when we got to the byline for crossing. Clearly being worked on alot and that little mistake by burns first half when he put the ball out when om the line... he looked up. Something that was he weakness in that area. A looking up Burns will be deadly when he gets the hang of it.

Waka waka eh eh

Agree. It's very fine margins with the way we play now. Very few of the misplaced/intercepted passes were 'bad' - most of them were close to opening Lincoln up again and were either marginally over hit or a LIncoln player did well to block it off.

Appleton also made a tactical switch at half time that helped them.
