Norfolk and Suffolk Mental Health Trust rated 'inadequate' for... 08:24 - Apr 28 with 630 views | BlueBadger | ...the fourth time in a decade. Surely now, this particular Trust is utterly irredeemable and root and branch reforming? I've had friends and family at the mercy of these people, plus semi-regular professional dealings with them - they are utterly, utterly hopeless. The occasional person who comes in and genuinely attempts to make a difference is very quickly ground down and no-one is better off as a result. Service provision and access to services is shocking, nay, non-existent if you don't live within a few miles of Ipswich(and even if you DO, in many cases) and becoming increasingly focused on services in Norwich. I've seen people being inappropriately 'bedded' in general acute wards, sent home openly suicidal and in one or two cases, kept in police cells because there is no-where else for them. My only reservation about disbandment, is the inevitable attempt at farming them out to the Efficient Private Sector to offer better 'value for money'. https://www.eadt.co.uk/news/health/calls-to-disband-nsft-over-damning-cqc-892470 [Post edited 28 Apr 2022 8:27]

I may have to suggest that she doesn't return home after graduation. Edit...as a responsible parent should I guide her towards estate agency or city trading perhaps? [Post edited 28 Apr 2022 8:45]

At the moment, definitely get her 'learning the trade' elsewhere.

Not ideal for some cases but lucky in my case. In terms of children services anicdotally I've heard that because of Covid cases have not been followed up on, or people have fallen through the cracks with referrals. Can only hope this is caught up on.
