I’m not sure it was in the guardian so I doubt any of you keyboard warriors saw it - but the times today carried a story about some bloke I’ve never heard of who was in a TV show called line of duty that I’ve never watched singing iRA songs at Celtic Park - and singing alongside him was ‘former Celtic midfielder’ Bobby Petta.
Mind you I’m sure the north stand appropriated the same song to sing I, I, R A - Ipswich Republican Army at the height of the troubles, - so all is well. |  |

My Dads cousin Pat Rolink spent the day before with Bobby, hes a comedian and Celtic fan, and goes over to compare this, hes a Scotsman /Jock but part dutch and half Irish, where Im part dutch, half Jock born in England... Petta liked my response to Pat saying "great player at Ipswich", thankfully Pat was elsewhere when this kicked off. Petta should have known better as shoukd the actor, although in my 50 years of life I have partaken in dubious chants, years ago... | | | |
