We’ve got Walton to thank for a number of those saves, that early one especially wow I’m keen to see it back but it looked excellent from where I was. Him, and some poor finishing at the far post, skying a chance that was harder to miss kept us in it. We were sloppy in possession and definitely guilty of overplaying at the back. Woolfenden and Edmundson both caught out and lucky not to be punished. Morsy was giving Woolf an absolute earful at one point. JD was so good defensively, what a guy. Evans & Morsy actually quieter tonight but quietly effective. Morsy by his own standards won’t get much praise but by anyone else’s it was another strong performance. Harness I actually thought was a bit poor in possession, including one awful ball back into our box, but I guess when you pop up with a winning goal like that you can get away with it. Chaplin very neat and tidy off the bench, hopefully it means he’s well rested and ready ti start Saturday. Not sure what kept Burns out either but hopefully both of those back on Saturday would give us a push. All in all a poor first half, better second, but a win is a win. Take it and move on. COYB. | |
