Real Living Wage & Football Clubs 12:51 - Sep 26 with 646 viewsZx1988

Interesting read here about Premier League clubs and their relationship with the Real Living Wage:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62996172

I was also surprised to see that there are only two non-PL clubs within the wider EFL that are Living Wage Foundation accredited; Luton and Grimsby.

Do Ipswich pay the Real Living Wage, and just don't bother with accreditation? It seems like a bit of an oversight from a PR point of view if not. If the club don't pay the RLW, or just haven't publicly mentioned it, has it been discussed at one of the Fans' Forums or suchlike?

[Edited to distinguish between Living Wage and Real Living Wage]

Are bar staff ect employed by the club? It would be hard to pay this wage if staff only working a few hours a week......

The Living Wage Foundation accredits according to the hourly rates paid, rather than an income level.
