Genuinely I would take Evans over him on form, if not for his injury. They aren't exactly flush with CMs who can dictate the play at the moment. Wes kept is cool and set up Camara nicely last night, but I thought his failed attempt to beat his man when we'd been going past their players like they weren't there pretty much sums up his season so far.

I don't know what it is with him this season. I won't accept that 'teams are marking him more' as the reason, as you say he again had an opportunity to get past a man, but couldn't, and it's a regular occasion this season.

I just think he’s not quite hit the heights of last season, whilst others have stepped up.

Love Burns and we’re lucky to have him.

I don't know whether he's getting less space now he's generally playing further up the pitch. He does alway seem to be closely or even double marked. But as you say, despite that he still does seem off the pace a bit. They're not machines of course and maybe he was absolutely flying last year and more back to normal levels now?
