Why are people constantly sniping. Why would anyone hope it’s the end of Penny, he’s a decent player, better equipped as a LWB than LB, more to show. It’s unnecessary to take aim at him, natural selection means ITFC is on a path to improve various positions step by step. LB/LWB is clearly a target position, why can’t it be left at that. If Penny is a casualty so be it, if he’s still around we need depth and surely supporters support the manager in his selections. | |

If you think Penney is a decent player and will get us out of this position you are clearly one of those supporters who has supported Ipswich in the doldrums for far too long and cannot see we need to upgrade now and weed out the weaknesses to give us a respectable chance of promotion.
There is often good reason why a player's contract is not renewed and , more importantly, why they have not been playing regularly for their previous club , plus being loaned out.

I was DM'ing him around the time of the takeover and McKenna's appointment and although he got wind of the takeover he was well behind the 8-ball on McKenna. I msg'd him about the McKenna rumours at the time and he denied them, saying no contracts were signed. 1.5 hrs later he responded saying contracts were signed for a reveal at Sunderland....

As I said, he was oblivious to McKenna story. We were even talking about it being Anthony Barry on the morning the McKenna news broke. Then all of a sudden contracts were signed and he would be revealed at Sunderland (as many others were saying at the time he DM'd me).... | | | |
