What is the general opinion on them? I loved the original 85/86 away shirt which has been reproduced recently but I can’t help thinking it looks slightly bland without the adidas badge and shoulder stripes?

Yeah begrudge paying £40 for a Sunday market rip off. Definitely not the same as having the logo.

You're better off getting a fake adidas reproduction imo. They come up on ebay from time to time.

Got the 1996-98 away Abbot Ale shirt for Christmas. Love it. Punch so no issue with missing details. Only complaint is that it seems to generate static.

A good quality original for a retro top is minimum £100, and will always have some marks, pulls and wear and tear. It's a risk picking up off ebay.

That being said I have an original 95-97 home 'gradient' shirt that I love, and would always prefer the real thing.

Tried to get the 1986-88 away shirt on ebay. With 5 seconds remaining it was at about £100, so I put in a maximum bid of £275 thinking I'd get it much cheaper but it went for £320.

Is that the red one? I have to say looking at it that I don't recall ever seeing one of those listed. That's crazy money.

Any attachment or just like the kit?

Would love an 89-91 orange away shirt, but the quality on those available have been pretty bad.

Confused now, is it the away strip or a rarely worn 3rd strip as advertised?

Listed as the away shirt here:
https://www.footballkitarchive
Third would make more sense, all things considered.

Before my time!

I always thought it was the away shirt but some places list it as the third shirt with the white one being away.
