Protecting/naming the identity ref rapists 13:10 - Jan 16 with 437 viewsbluelagos

Been discussed on here before - for me today's reporting of the case of serial rapist David Carrick does highlight the benefits of naming alleged rapists, once charged.

It has been reported that "when the rape allegation reached court in October 2021, Carrick’s name was publicised and 12 more women came forward over the following year."

Without that additional evidence, presumably a conviction would have been far less likely, his facing the word of just one victim against the word of a serving police officer. As it was he pleaded guilty no doubt in part due to the over whelming evidence collected/presented.
