That's a shame, as it captures a way of life which has long vanished.

I remember the book at the time, and even had a copy, although I never got round to reading the whole book.

Wonderful book, read it too many decades ago - think it actually featured in the sociology component of my 2-year social work course at Ipswich Civic College (as it was back then in the 1970s).

100 - lovely ripe old age, well looked after by his friends.
