I'm so glad that we seem to have moved away from the over-reliance on loan players. If we discount John-Jules because of the injury, then we only currently have one loan in a position where we needed some quality (Hirst).
It gives the squad some stability going forward.

I still laugh about Lambert saying that we had too many loan players and then proceeded to have 6 loan players in the squad.
Indeed. We’ve seen both Plymouth and Sheff Wed have two of their better performers taken away from them halfway through the season, and we dint have this problem.
Re your final point. A little unfair on Lambert. He had to rely on the loan market as Evans never supported him or Mick with funds to get players into the club.
