At least we managed to put away 2 non-league teams this year, rather than suffering another embarrassing early exit. Not having to play the first 2 rounds of the Cup would be naother benefit from ;promotion. |  |

As well as smashing a team from the league above, in the last 20 years I think that's only happened twice (West Brom and Arsenal 2010/11). |  |

Yet another dismal thing about following Town for the last 20 years has been our utterly appalling record in Cup competitions. The League Cup run, aided by a fortunate draw, was probably one of the 2 bright spots in that period, along with the ultimately disappointing play off season in 2014-15. That's been the highlight of ther last 8 years! | |
