It's the day after a great win for Town, so think it is OK to give a tiny bit of attention to the Budgies... I've had a look at their fixtures. They have to play: Sheff Utd Away (currently 2nd, but needing to fight for every point for Automatic) Blackburn at Home (currently in middle of Play Off pack in 5th, with a better PPG than Norwich) Rotherham (H) (just above relegation zone) Middlesbrough (A) (currently 3rd and fighting for the second Automatic spot) QPR (A) (just above relegation zone, might, just, be mathematically safe by this match, or may need something from it) Swansea (H) (should be safe, lower mid table currently, probably will be a team with little riding on it, unless they have a terrible April) WBA (A) (one of the teams currently just outside the Play Offs, 2 points less than Norwich with a game in hand on them. Outside chance that this could be a 6th place decider) In short: a difficult run of fixtures. Nearly everyone they face could have a season defining outcome riding on the match. Their damp squib 0-0 against Stoke yesterday was their last game against a team with little to play for. I would say that the odds are against them making the Play Offs. | |
