Credit to Vale tonight...excellent low block! 23:06 - Apr 18 with 426 viewshomer_123

Coupled with pace and cover out wide to stop Burns and Davis.

Pace up top as well and broke quickly when needed. I know it's not pretty to watch but they were never going to come here and try and play us at our game.

They proved a proper handful.

However I am going to reiterate something I said about KM when we had our poor(er) patch of games.

He 'believes' utterly in the way we play and again, tonight, he didn't panic. He didn't change our approach, he clearly asked them to up the tempo at half time and move the ball quicker.

In the face of a team that sat 11 behind the ball...the easy might have been to throw Hirst on as well as Ladapo but no. He believed in the approach and the players.

A very astute substitution in Edwards followed by a more obvious one with JD coming on.

I absolutely love the fact that KM and the team are wholly committed to how we play and simply look to assert ourselves on others.

Especially against that type of football.

So refreshing for us to see as Town fans.

Brilliant result...brilliant 3 pts and a fascinating match.

Edwards for Davis was an inspired substitution - just at the right time.

Felt for Ladapo. Guess he gave Hirst an hour's rest but it really wasn't the game for him tonight.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
