Thanks town. 22:01 - May 1 with 773 views | FrimleyBlue | My father who I spent many years watching town with as a season ticket holder up in the then churchmans, had fallen out of love with town. It begun when my nan passed, he just lost a bit of interest, as he got older himself and it was almost like his love for town died with his mum. The cold days and nights resigned him to just listening to games on the radio, which soon resulted in him ignoring that games were even on. When we spoke I'd always try to discuss the town as whilst I don't see him often, he was the one who made me a blue and It was painful to hear that he just lost further interest in town the longer our decay went on. He just wasn't interested. This season each call ended with a talk about town, something that hadn't happened for years. Today we spoke and the pride he had was something I'd not heard for over 18 years. He was buzzing. Absolutely Buzzing. So anyways. Not really a point to this thread but anyways thanks town for bringing back the golden glow about ipswich that my dad once lost.

Similarly my Dad is not here to see us now. But he also saw success the likes of which I doubt I or my son ever will.
