Martin to saints 13:17 - May 21 with 1007 views | Stu_boy | Is he any better than nathan jones? I'm not convinced but a good job for him with a club that should be in of around top 6 if not top 2 regardless of who the manager is. Eeually, think evatt would be a good appointment for swansea

Depends on what you class as competent, didnt jones guide luton from conference to a good championship side, id view that as trumping mid table mediocrity ifor two sides playing tippy tappy
Martin to saints on 14:28 - May 21 with 786 views | JimmyJazz | Difference is that Southampton will now be a Championship side and therefore face a different and maybe lesser pressure position. If they hadn't got him before, Nathan Jones could have been a good appointment now for Southampton

Agree it's a different pressure he'll be under next season. I'm not sure if it's lesser as I would expect saints to be pre-season favourites for promotion and anything less than promotion will be scrutinised, think leicester will lose a few and I'm hearing relegation will be a disaster for them and i'd expect saints main rival for promotion may well be leeds
