One of the great riff-masters.

I met Bernie Marsden a few years back at a festival. He signed a copy of his book for me. He was happy to just chat and took an interest in who I was, not your typical rock star ego.
I mentioned to him that my now wife and I had recently got engaged, so when he signed the book, he suggested that he dedicated it to us along with his signature,

A lovely man, a great musician and the writer of some of the all time classic rock songs.

RIP Bernie.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Brains behind much of early Whitesnake, treated badly by Coverdale who turned the band into little more than his solo band, playing glam metal as opposed to the blues rock of the early albums. RIP Bernie.
