Typical example in the match just now. Murphy was already walking off the pitch to get treatment. Most of the time a player can easily do so. Allow the sub at the next break of play but very rarely should a game need to stop for treatment.
In a situation where a player gets up and walks off the pitch, anyone who has stayed on the pitch to receive treatment should be forced to remain off the pitch with no sub allowed for the same amount of time as treatment takes. For a player who cannot walk off the pitch, it should be assumed they are not fit to play on at all. In this instance a sub without further delay could be allowed.
A lot of breaking up play happens with players sitting down for little reason.
