What was the atmosphere at the ground like before they scored yesterday? 11:04 - Jan 28 with 1170 views | BanksterDebtSlave | Were we getting behind them or quietly waiting for the first of many goals? Reason for asking....after the draw I was definitely in the 'last 16 here we come camp' so if others were the same that could easily translate to a quiet home support. Thankfully the players didn't play with the same complacency with which I had welcomed the draw....but, football !!

Absolutely, but also worth remembering that those groups that normally get the singing going tend to get scattered all over the place at cup games, which makes it more difficult to get consistency.

What was the atmosphere at the ground like before they scored yesterday? on 11:35 - Jan 28 with 1042 views | Help | no build up from town fans until kick off, when the North (SBR) started to sing. It was quite sporadic. Being in it you think everyone is joining in and sounds good, but then it could just be a dozen or so around you and you have no idea. My family sat in the West stand near the teams and said they could hardly hear us. Maidstone had their day out and kept singing enjoying themselves. The drummer was towards the bottom of the north bit did not really start any songs, just joined in. People around me kept trying to start songs and at some points did pled with those around them to sing, but as you say people were not in their normal seats and it was disjointed.

What was the atmosphere at the ground like before they scored yesterday? on 12:08 - Jan 28 with 945 views | stonojnr | before they scored ? thought it was alright considering the disjointed pre match build because of the tele & time, basically they couldnt play anything over the tannoy, so there was no build up to kick off like normal, and then you get alot of displaced regulars, and alot of newbie people, so the atmosphere was always going to be lower key than youd ideally want. but it was the most animated Ive seen the North this season, even if the singing wasnt matching the limbs, and those 4 or 5 chances I think one of those goes in the whole thing changes. the longer it went on though, the doubts creep in, and then they scored and then the crowd are feeding off the intensity of the players, which seemed lacking in energy too, apart from one or two notables, and thats what you end up with.
