This Blackburn fine 10:30 - Sep 20 with 1588 viewsCheltenham_Blue

I've no idea what the incident(s) was/were and don't recall hearing about anything but two things immediately sprung to mind as I was reading.

1. Were Wednesday ever fined for throwing objects onto the field of play?
2. In modern football, what kind of deterrent is a £35k fine?

We've just paid Blackburn 9m quid, it reminds me of the Titanic where the regulations on lifeboats failed to keep up with the size of passenger liners.

If Wednesday got fined, the owner would have just had a whip round from the fans like he did for their tax bill!

Based on their last reported turnover of £21M, that's equivalent of someone earning £30k being fined £50. That'll learn 'em!

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Not sure if this is the why, but there was a small gaggle of 14yr olds in the corner of the stand to the right of the away end, who spent the game baiting the away fans and were spoken to by police. Didn't seem a lot in it mind.

There was a small group of blokes in their 50's sat in front of us (clearly not in their assigned seats) who were reacting to it for reasons only known to them and were also spoken to by stewards.

All a lot of shouting 'come on then' from 100yards away etc

I think it was up the other end. I remember Woolfy getting involved in some back and forth.

Poll: So, how many league wins did you see in person?
