Tomorrow the three siblings of Aaron (Clax) Claxton are fund raising in memory of their much missed brother.
Aaron only ever wanted to work at ITFC and did so for 17 years, before redundancy in the Evans era.
His last Ipswich game was Boxing Day 2022, two days later he was found unconscious at home, and passed on New Year’s Eve never regaining consciousness. He was so impressed by that game and was convinced we would not just get back into the Championship but get back to the Premier League where we belonged.
We have all been livin* his dream and it isn’t over yet.
Many will remember Aaron, he spent his Town years in the ticket office and was responsible for many of those years in arranging away coach travel. I can only remember one away game he didn’t travel by coach. There had been problems with tickers issue so he flew up to Lancashire with the team and distributed tickets there.

Happy to report that all 3 of us made it round. Rhiannon and Nathan in a creditable 2:19 and myself in a slightly less creditable 03:14.
I was beaten by a man dressed as a giant coffee cup who couldn't actually see where he was going though! I don't think Clax would have ever have let me live that down! |  | | |
