Not sure if it's because he's from an older generation, or because he comes across (to me anyway) as a more quiet, sensible and pragmatic 'celebrity', but I hope the endorsement of Harrison Ford might swing a few crucial voters.
How so many Yanks seem to be able to ignore the bit in bold is beyond me.

In a video shared by Kamala Harris's campaign on Saturday, though, the Indiana Jones star makes a rare political statement.
"When dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms saying ‘for God's sake, don't do this again,’ you have to pay attention. They're telling us something important," he says.
Ford, 82, notes that many Republicans are for the first time casting ballots "for someone who doesn’t have an R [for Republican] next to their name, because they know this really matters”.

Matt Frei was asking yesterday why Trump hadn't toned down the rhetoric a bit, because doing so was not likely to alienate the MAGA element, but might well win over reluctant Republicans, thus probably ensuring his victory. [Post edited 3 Nov 2024 14:08]
