No shame in going down by a goal at the emirates.
Formation was what some of us thought would be the best for this game and the manager went with it, which I think was the right and only call really. We were hard to break down and that’s exactly what we needed to be after the Newcastle nightmare. Much better second half display and we were right in the game up until the very end, shame nobody wanted to put the ball in the box 🤷♂️
Highlights for me -the tactics, we do have a Plan B after all and it served us well tonight, we just didn’t transition well enough into a counter attack to create chances to nick a point. Broadhead looks like a Premier League player, no idea why he’s not starting games.
Negatives - Woolf, Hutchinson, Johnson, Clarke J - thought Woolf was poor, distribution awful and positioning/tackling no better, Hutchinson had a shocker, poor distribution and didn’t want to take on a man, or put the ball in often enough and when he did put a ball in, it lacked quality, Johnson is slow and not terribly good at anything, caught out numerous times, the obvious one cost us a goal, but we are struggling for players on that side, desperately needs to be addressed in January, Clarke J continues to make me wonder how he earns a place in a match day squad, offers nothing in defence and nothing in attack, if anything he weakens the side when he comes on.

We all see different things, you’re not wrong, he does look great on the ball when given space and time, but looks dreadful when under pressure IMO and unfortunately we spend a lot of time in that position. | | | |
