The most annoying thing about that was we were attacking and just moving into the final third, the ref blows for a head injury and then we get a drop ball given back to our defence! Not only is the momentum taken away but also any ground we had made.

They all do it these days. When there’s a break on, go down and simulate a head injury. Ridiculous.
The rule could easily be made to allow play to continue and the physio to come and treat on the pitch while it does. Insist on the player going off as soon as able to and being independently assessed for fitness to return. Would soon stop it happening. Same with other treatment. There is no need to stop the game while everyone watches on. Player goes off and gets treatment on the sideline.
