What is the point of having it if it isn't enforced? Pickford would have conceded numerous indirect free kicks yesterday if it had been. Referees are so weak. |

Newcastle defender Dan Burn is missing a finger — he lost the ring finger on his right hand after severing it in an accident at the age of 13. He is basically the opposite of a Norwich fan. |

They have had a really good start to life in League One. Up to 3rd, level on points with Wrexham* in 2nd, after winning at Crawley tonight (Elliott Hewitt with an assist). Five wins and two draws from their opening eight games. I think they've only ever had one season in the second division so they are punching above their weight a bit but it would be great to see them in the Championship. I'd also like to see Lincoln have a go up there and they are doing well too (in 4th with 15 points). * Wrexham have played a game more. |
| Forum Thread | The last time we drew 4+ consecutive games in the top division at 22:45 30 Sep 2024
22nd August–5th September 1992: • 1–1 vs Man Utd (A) • 2–2 vs Liverpool (H) • 1–1 vs Spurs (H) • 2–2 vs Middlesbrough (A) • 0–0 vs QPR (A) Matches 3 to 7 in that opening PL season. Our record after eight games was 2–6–0 and after 22 (out of 42) it was 8–12–2. Over the final 20 games, it was 4–4–12... What was the feeling like at the time when we were doing well as a newly promoted team and had lost so few games — was there much talk of potential European qualification*? And was there considerable disappointment about the second half of the season or was 16th still considered to be a respectable finish for us? Just wondering as I wasn't born then and it seems like it was quite a tight, competitive season as there were only 10 points between Liverpool in 6th and Palace in 20th (R). Oldham only stayed up on GD and we lost to them home and away. I always find it amusing that we did the double over Norwich in their best ever season. * Only three teams ended up qualifying for Europe due to the low English coefficient as a result of the Heysel ban. |

Teams That Have Won the European Cup, UEFA Cup and Cup Winners' Cup Five teams have managed to win what were the three main European club competitions. There are two minutes to try and name them all (none of the answers are particularly obscure). This quiz includes the Champions League (1992–present) and Europa League (2009–present) eras of the European Cup and UEFA Cup, but not the old Fairs Cup as that was not the same competition as the UEFA Cup even if it was the forerunner. https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/1696326/teams-that-have-won-the-european-cu Thank you again for taking the time to have a look and have a go at these quizzes! |

England Football Managers' Former Teams Another little quiz I have made if anyone would like a go. Two of the answers are a bit obvious... Just a case of guessing the team that each full-time manager of the England men's national team was in charge of before leading the Three Lions. There are five minutes to try and guess the 14* answers, with all but one of them being club sides. Answers need to be entered into the highlighted boxes and you can move on if you are unsure of one by selecting/tapping/tabbing to another answer box. The quiz can also be paused up to three times if you need a bit of thinking time. * There have been 15 full-time managers since 1946 but Walter Winterbottom did not manage a team before taking the England job. Also, two of the fourteen answers are the same team!... https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/1696326/england-football-managers-former-te Thank you as always for taking the time to have a look.
