McKenna got the tactics spot on. Survive to 75mins and try and get Arsenal to fold defensively.

Shame the depth is so average off the bench. Broadly did well though.

Cajuste was tremendous.

Bit more confident we might grab a few more points along the way.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Yep, there's been a bit of criticism towards him starting to seep in recently but I don't think he's got much wrong all season, just the relative quality between us and who we're playing causing the main issues.

Hard to be 'happy' with a defeat as it still doesn't feel good to watch you team lose but as you say certainly enough there to suggest we might be able to nick a few points where we don't expect anything. Just a shame we've not been able to field our best players all season and yet again didn't recruit another forward like we needed to to give us something more up front.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Pains me to say it but a slightly better side than us takes a point minimum from that game with those tactics.

We really aren't that far off of say Forest and Fulham in terms of intent but we just lack 5-10% of quality which makes everything so much harder.

Yeah, you can see how Everton ground them down to a 0-0 to be honest.

We're all probably getting tired of talking about 'fine margins' but that is essentially it isn't it? Just that bit more quality on the ball, that bit more athleticism, that bit more physicality and we'd likely have about half a dozen more points than we do right now.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Exactly this. Give up a sloppy goal and don’t have the nous to really threaten them. The big question is, can the January window give us that extra 5 - 10% edge?
