Ticket for tomorrow but not sure if I want to go on 15:51 - Dec 29 with 1215 views | NeedhamChris | Luckily there are enough people who would give their right arm for a ticket that you could save yourself the pain of going and leave it for one of them. I get where you're coming from, I just don't think it's that tasteful a read given that a) it's not an official transaction and b) it's a bit in your face to those after a ticket

I'm going to save any future aggro that this thread seems likely to cause by editing it all out and focus on attempting to make a decision by myself. I really didn't expect to offend anyone. [Post edited 29 Dec 2024 16:04]

Just to say that your original post didn't really have any sense of the importance of the financial elements, that's a different discussion and one I sympathise with (choosing football over other priorities isn't easy logically but also missing out isn't easy emotionally!). Can see that's not the case now so apologies for jumping in two footed. I'd boil it down to a wellbeing based decision. If you think it'll improve things in that regard then I'd say worth it - but whatever happens hope all is okay.

It takes two to have an accurate conversation, so while I appreciate your apology I also appreciate that I didn't present all of the factors which were involved in my decision and therefore you didn't have all of the relevant information to go on. The financial factor certainly isn't going to put me on the street (though I do try to be mindful about my overall spending especially at this time of year), so you're probably right that a wellbeing-focussed decision is probably best in such a situation. Thank you for that. I probably made this decision to be far more complicated than it actually is objectively. But as someone who has a tendancy to over-analyse more minor personal choices, sharing and seeing other's perspectives is often helpful. [Post edited 29 Dec 2024 18:04]
