Didn't a fight the other day, someone pulled out ill (yeah right) and a replacement came in at the last minute and had like 2 days in Saudi before the fight?
It's literally just a massive money maker for all involved. I'd be surprised if there isn't a pre-planned outcome too (like WWE) | | | |

I trust Dubois was ill but it was even more of a farce for his replacement, Bakole, who arrived at Riyadh airport in the wee hours of Saturday, 3am, after three flights and 4000 miles of travelling. He fought at 1am on Sunday! Fight night broadcasters didn't talk much about just how ridiculous that was, instead focusing on his lack of a training camp as the issue (that wasn't helpful either lol).

It's a TV show, much like WWE. It's there to sell big events and PPV buys. Football uses drama to get people watching on TV as well, all the post-match chat, VAR, feuds between teams (the Arsenal-Man City be humble nonsense, both humbled by Liverpool in the end), the transfer day sagas and drama, referees, falling outs, sackings. The games are almost secondary to the noise these days! |  |

To be fair, my boy and his mates are big boxing fans ( they box themselves ) had an amazing day from 4.00 to about 11.00 with all the fights.
Dubois was obviously a disappointment but I don't think there was anything fishy about it.
There are lot of pre fight theatrics but didn't Ali and others love a bit of that ?
The Benn - Eubank "feud" is obviously going to feature because of the history of it.
I really miss getting those really epic fights on regular TV like Benn - Eubank for example. |  | | |
