The Quick and The Dead. Gene Hackman as a very bad man who runs a Wild West Town as his own personal fiefdom. He fancies himself as the world's fastest gunslinger, so organises a tournament to prove it. Leonardo Di Caprio is his son, who enters the competition, expecting his Dad to back out. Russell Crowe is a legendary gunfighter. And Sharon Stone enters the town with a mysterious backstory, revealed bit by bit in flashback.
Some great cameos from superb character actors, brisk direction from Sam Raimi (post Evil Dead but pre Spiderman) many twists and turns, and a superb denouement and final reveal.
