Sanctions have been increased a number of times. It does make you wonder what the point of the first ones were.

They aren’t remotely half-@rsed - they are pretty comprehensive which is why Russia is burning through its liquidity very fast and their central bank rate is over >20pc. The latest EU additions are fairly tokenistic relating to individuals.

Interesting to see Trump agreeing further US sanctions and threatening ‘very bad things financially for Russia’. Spitting his dummy out now he’s not got his rapid ‘deal’. I did say before he’s as likely to turn on Putin as side with him - Trump only cares about Trump and his ego…
