They showed the lines so Ronaldo not offside and goal stood...fair enough

But the commentators (and Ronaldo?) seemed to be saying it was too early for the offside to be given even if it was offside...

Ridiculous position for me, it would surely have been given offside if Ronaldo had been offside?

He seemed to know he was offside and watching live it did look that he was half a body off. The lines didn't agree which was odd but it certainly couldn't have been too early as it was right before the goal, maybe 3 seconds.

I thought his position in the goal against Germany was offside too but the lines said otherwise.

I think the Spanish defence stopped a bit thinking Ronaldo was offside, which gave the space for the shot.

It was seconds between Ronaldo's touch and the goal.
