It's matters not. But what exactly is our recruitment set up? 10:40 - Jul 6 with 718 viewsFrimleyBlue

Don't want this thread to go into a discussion about signing timelines etc

But just curious if anyone knows what exactly is our set up?

I think i saw that werhun now looks after player contracts or something along this lines.
What's the set up around that. Do we have an actual manager yet or is it just a few different people all chipping in around a table together

a niche perspective

What kind of manager do you mean Frimmers? I'd imagine that Werhun does most of the contract stuff and then Ashton 'does the fancy bits'

The analysis team will identify potential recruits from a set of parameters given by McKenna, as has been said before, much will be about running stats, but this season physicality will also be thrown into the mix, especially after being bullied so effectively by the likes of Traore.

Once identified, I *guess* that there is a whittling down via something like Wyscout, before being re-presented to McKenna.

All the above is guesswork though.

I guess I'm wondering who's the man who sits everyone down with what the teams managers views are. Requirements etc. Players contracts coming up to expire and basically managing the projects around recruitment.

In my mind I'm thinking you need a single person to oversee such a big part of a club but I guess they just all tend to work together.

I guess one of those things you'd love to see on town tv tbh.

Probably different areas. Contracts etc I'm sure ultimately fall within Ashton's remit as I'm sure he is ultimately responsible for expenditure.

Recruiting (identifying) new players is undertaken by the analyst team. I'm guessing at Town, the players identified are given to KM to make a final decision. I could be wrong, it could be like the Brentford model where the coach (manager) tells the analyst team which positions he needs to be filled. The analyst team dentifies the players, they then give the list to the money people who negotiate the purchase. The players are then given to the coach (Franks, now Andrews) and they coach them
