Last night was not a great performance, but it’s not down to Morsy going, OH not playing etc, it’s just Ipswich. In fact last night was better than I had hoped.

The truth is we have under McK we have never done particularly well away from home in very partisan and vitriolic grounds.

I would draw comparison to Birmingham away as a similar challenge to Leeds away, and last time we went to Leeds, when our confidence was higher and with an established, settled side, we played like we did tonight, but got thumped 4-0.

Coming away from Birmingham with a point is good
Limiting a side who scored 47 goals at home to a handful of half chances is good
Coming from behind and not caving under intense pressure is good
Doing the above missing 2 or 3 key players is good

Our performance was not great, but credit Birmingham for how they set out to disrupt before we criticise our players too much. Birmingham were obviously worried about us and set out to nullify us as their first priority, not many sides will be able to do that this season.

Panic not people, it’s nowhere near as bad as many of you are making it out to be.

Edit: One additional thing to note, last time in Brum we scraped a late earned 2-2 draw, with our established, promoted side against a far weaker and hurtling towards relegation side. We just don’t do well at certain grounds and atmospheres.

Well it’s amusing that all the people that made us favourites are now saying ‘oh, they don’t look like favourites’. Not bothered tbh, we were poor but need the confidence of a couple of wins and players coming in.
Defensively largely good, I though brum up to 60 mins never stop running which made if difficult but once they’d scored they backed off and I think all 11 had cramp at some point, which is why the ref correctly added on all that time.
Ultimately neither keeper made a save in the game. Two of the brum ‘shots on target’ either rolled through to or were gently caught by palmer.

Agree with that.

Birmingham look very capable and I don’t think many teams will come away from St Andrews with any points.

That was an excellent point by Town last night. We are far from the finished article in terms of squad, and nowhere near our best dye to injuries ( will we ever be free of those?), players departed, and arrivals just simply not bedded in yet.

Very few teams visiting SA's will come away with a point this season in my view, and refs there need to grow a pair!

Poll: Would this current Town team beat the current narwich team
