After rewatching the highlights (again) this morning, I think that when Hirst squared the ball rather than shooting it wasn't that he hadn't looked up at all, but rather that at the moment he did he saw Egeli coming in far post but his marker, their little number 35, was hidden behind the bulk of Cordoba the big centre back. Maybe.
The other thing, I'm thinking that maybe KMc could do something with their Schwartau fella. I wonder if we might have a little look at him in January. Not well thought of there from what I can make out but he looks two footed, direct, quick and strong to me. Very limited sample size, and might not be needed or fit in here though. Not sure where he normally plays, but obvs wouldn't be anything other than third choice on the left or pushing for second on the right. |  |

I've watched the Hirst squaring thing a few times, and what irritates me is that Philogene isn't steaming into the box to give him an option for the pass.
He probably wouldn't have made it to where the ball was, (Hirst would have to pull it back further) but as someone who benefited on more than one occasion from space created by Davis's runs from deep I think he let himself down there. |  | | |
