| Sometimes a team and manager fall upon the best selection… 21:32 - Oct 25 with 1084 views | unstableblue | Often when a team has had a lot of flux, transfers, and is trying to have strength in depth, the best selection sometimes to takes a while to land on… perhaps following today, some injuries and players in differing form, this is our best team: Walton Furlong OShea Kipre Davis Matusiwa Taylor Egeli Nunez Philogene/Clarke Azon Clarke is playing so well, but as is Philogene (especially at home), they are interchangeable Kipre and Walton are perhaps a way for a better defence Nunez gives us creativity and Taylor gives us drive and impetus | |

And no not because it took wes out.. But we had this weird infatuation of playing hutch in the 10 and I didn't like it Anyway. Burns got injured omari went right and started banging goals in.

Subs were key, but up to their arrival the likes of Philogene (and Taylor as you say) had worked West Brom enough… Philogene for me (despite some dissenters) caused issues and pulled the left side apart at times.. should have been a pen, great save needed to keep him out, and was causing issues on the edge of WBA box second half. But then Clarke comes in full of energy and belief and stretched them to breaking point… and a great finish. He was being too selfless trying to set up Egeli… in a period when the game was really exciting (not the yawn fest being reported) Azon whilst desperately needing a goal, is so strong, that it caused WBA to get stretched. Nunez just passes so well. Taylor has had a few good performances here, but today he ran the show… the highlights are the Jack Taylor show!

If he starts playing this team week in week out we will fly up the table. The question is does KM have it in him to show some adaptability and humility that his approach has not worked so far and a few circumstances out of his control have been the key to landing on our best eleven? I'd like to think he will.

| Sometimes a team and manager fall upon the best selection… on 08:40 - Oct 26 with 462 views | darkhorse28 | Agree completely - but what have you seen in Azon. Good quality, good movement, good work rate, good intensity. Also the worst finisher I’ve seen in years, doesn’t look like he’ll score many goals at all, does get in the positions which is good. It’s either a chronic lack of confidence…, or he really can’t finish .., I hope for the former, I suspect it’s the latter. Has to be Hirst, because he is good enough at this level, and he’s proven, just needs confidence and a better team around him.., Azor I’m afraid could play for Resl Madrid and he’d miss 10 good chances instead of 3 every game. Wanting a cult hero .., they slap different - but let’s be honest.., he’s missed maybe 8 great chances.., it’s not bad luck is it, we know, whether we want to admit it, that’s different. Should have 5 goals by now, 3 if he was even decent at this level. His finishing has been very very poor. He’s not Pablo or Bontcho .., he’ll need to add goals, because our system can’t sustain strikers that don’t score, and be succesful. | | | |
