So pleased for McKenna and the boys - not perfect, but bloody promising 17:51 - Nov 1 with 1248 viewsunstableblue

It’s funny that people are discussing the weak sides to the game… when Egeli showed moments of true brilliance, Hirst scores well, and we’ve just seen two of the best Town free kick goals I can remember

I thought we started well, and Egeli was in two or three moments just simply brilliant. I loved the first goal.

Then we got a bit loose and QPR showed some of their best qualities and scored.

I’m sure at that point that the keyboard warriors were readying themselves, especially as Walton struggled and we just got even looser.

But we rallied and I like a lot of our play.

Then the free kick - wow - just wow!

I think this always going to be a tough game, as their manager seems good, they’ve got some fairly good players, and the manager wanted a reaction after the Derby loss.

For periods Taylor, Matisuwa and Nunez in the ten in front of them weren’t working. And OShea and Furlong had errors. But what I liked is all those players improved… again spurred on by those wunder free kicks.

It’s a huge win, huge.

And the results today and last night showed this league is quite random.

We need a run now, and I’d like to see McKenna stick with that 11, and let’s go and smash Watford.

Let’s really get behind the boys - yes it wasn’t all good tonight, but when it clicked… lovely stuff.

Town fans should get really really excited about Egeli (defensive lapses aside) - he’s another level for someone his age.

The third goal was vintage 23/24 from us. Worked it from back to front perfectly. Liquid football.

Football is 90 minutes, too many think the game ends at HT.

Away games are always a struggle for most teams and we won't have it all our own way for 90mins. As you say we rallied again when we came out for the 2nd half.

I will say i thought their GK positioning for Nunez first goal was terrible. If that had been Walton, I think 50%+ of Town fans blame him.

But just the result we required.

While he wasn't my MOTM special shout out to Taylor, has brought more energy into the midfield. He's been the butt of a lot of unfair criticism, and while still improvement in decision making required, that's two games started and two wins.

Taylor is very mobile and does the important stuff well. He's looked excellent the last couple of games. His name doesn't crop up in commentary which is a good sign.
