Our crossing was sh1te last night. I actually thought in possession we worked the ball into really good wide areas but when it came to the cross or final ball, the quality just wasn't there.
I know people dig Hirst out but what service did he have? I fancy him in the air as well but time and time again, the cross would be over hit, straight into the first man or into the keeper.
Even Leif's crossing seems to have gone to pieces. It's going to be such a key element to breaking down the low block that we can use it effectively.
It also amazes me that even with 50 right backs at the club, games like last night highlight that we lack balance. Furlong is a decent enough defender but so so limited going forwards. |  |
