Wasn’t that bad, one mistake, and got caught pushing for a winner. Not like Charlton at home or Birmingham away now that was bad.

The only Muff in Town.

It’s Oxford. Bottom 3. Total squad spend less than probably the loan fee we paying for akpom alone (obviously not to blame akpom)

It's Oxford - our record against them is now

P31 W0 D7 L24

They're our bogey team.

If you haven’t noticed in the championship any team can turn over any team no matter what the wages or fees.

We shot ourselves in the foot tonight

I’m going to be constructive here / Oxford were good for their win. They didn’t sit back, they pressed us, they defended as a team, they attacked as a combined force and took their chances. The irony is we are not really getting any of the deflections, scrappy goals, rebounds of a couple of seasons ago and it’s really telling.

One thing I will say and have already said, we are too much a team of individuals and not a team and have brought in too many players that don’t fit the mould or playing styles of those that are around them. We do not have a game plan - it’s telling that we are trying to play out from the back - Oxford were not sitting deep, pushed players onto us - we broke the line with them having 5 players inour half to stop in midfield and play it back again allowing them to regroup. I am sure this is not what is being coached in training but I honestly can’t see what we are trying to do apart from pray one player has a moment of brilliance and creates something out of nothing. That is not maintainable at all.

We have not recruited to any one to what was stated was needed to progress as we have no pace, no quick thinkers and no driving midfielder. Due to this is why we look so disjointed, I don’t think we have a game plan or if we do it’s not really obvious.

Today too many off days for too many players but even worse is how poor we looked when chasing and no one really knew what to do or how to play which is on McKenna. The nail in the coffin of course had to come to McAteer, deer oh deer this guy doesn’t do him self any favours - it only needs the composure of a player that should have cost 1 / 20th of his cost to bloody tap the ball across the goal not blast it for a Clarke tap in. He has surely done enough now to tell McKenna he has wasted however millions on him and needs to replace him or bring in the under 21 winger or pray burns comes back with a bit of pace.

Any way that’s my 2 pence worth but will say I was really impressed by how Oxford approached the game and gave us f all respect which I said a long time ago is what teams should do as it might surprise them by how disjointed we actually are.
