Got home from Watford about midnight last night, took another hour to settle the dog down, up at 6am to take the "cherry for a ball". Tired? Yep but it was worth it. Over to Mortlake Crematorium, a beautiful blue sky and warm day, it wasn't a massive turn out but 5 other town supporters attended; 2 from Ipswich, one each from Bradford, Cheltenham and Gloucester. You know who you are, thanks guys* * Generic term SB The celebrant was amazing, if you have a South West London funeral to arrange DM me for his details. I'd never graded celebrant performance previously, but this fella was truly on another level. Admittedly I provided the words but gave it everything including full on emotion. We're now halfway thru a 2 game, 2 funeral week for me. So far so good. Tomorrow's funeral will be harder as it's family, and from wearing a product bought at Planet Blue today, I will don a Charlton t-shirt tomorrow. Roll on Saturday will "double g" be there? Don't know but an expat mate will be. Oh and apologies in advance, SBR Upper on Saturday, not yet seen us win from that vantage point. A record to be broken. RIP Martin (Pimball Wizard), RIP Uncle John And finally, let's talk mental health Do not allow poor mental health to win, if you know someone who has retreated within themselves, you MUST do what you can to drag them back to health If YOU are the person with poor mental health, reach out, do not suffer in silence or alone Take care, be nice folks, even to Naaaridge fans & MAGA | |
