Reflecting on how inconsistent and downright shambolic we can be at times, led me to reflect if any player from the McKenna era would make the 'best of' Ipswich Town 26 man squad. These are mine, and I've been lucky to see them all! GK: Cooper, Wright, Bialkowski. FB: Mills, Burley, Clapham, Wilnis. CB: Hunter, Beattie, Osman, Butcher. MF: Thijssen, Wark, Muhren, Stockwell, Holland, Magilton, Talbot, Dyer. Strikers: Whymark, Mariner, Stewart, Johnson, Bent, Kuqi. In my view, you could easily make another 'shadow squad' of 26 pulling from the Robson/Burley era and no McKenna players would break into that group either. At least I have the memories! |  | | |  |
