Our general play since Swansea Home game 06:34 - Apr 15 with 382 viewsBlue_Heath

Has been pretty poor imo.

We struggled against Hull, beat Brum courtesy of the ref, did a number on that lot but it wasn't pretty and looked abysmal at Stoke, struggled against Leicester and late show (pen) to beat Sheff Weds.

Last night we were awful and looked like the side battling relegation.

For me we are not playing well enough to get the results needed and our fragilities away from home with three away still to play will cost of us.

The two home games now are absolute must wins but not confident we'll beat Boro never mind get a draw and a win at Charlton/WBA.

In contrast Saints are a bullet train hurtling towards the top two and I don't see anything stopping them getting to 84 points.

Not like you to be negative.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I always try to be positive and avoid over-reacting to a poor result or performance but I don’t really rate this squad. We’ve got some good players but only 4 or 5 that are of the quality I’d expect to see in a top two team. The biggest surprise to me is that we’re in the position we are. We’ve rarely impressed in the way I envisage a promotion winning team doing. Overall they’ve been less convincing than some of our teams of yesteryear that failed in the play offs, Despite this, I do now believe we’ll somehow get the points needed to clinch that second spot. It might not be pretty and it is unlikely to be a smooth ride but I think we’ll do it from here. In some ways, it will be KM’s biggest achievement at the club.
