I know quite a few Hillsborough campaigners.
People like Charlotte Hennessey who lost her father as a six year old, Sue Roberts who lost her brother and Steve Kelly (an Evertonian) who lost her elder brother Michael.
These guys have personally taken on the challenge of getting a Hillsborough Law in place and when it happens, the UK will be a better place. Anyone who seeks to mislead a public inquiry or inquest will be committing a criminal offence.
Many people often make positive comments to me, but am guessing not many of you have access to these guys.
So very simply, post up any comments (should you wish) to this thread and I will pass them all on to the three guys. They are all active in the Hillsborough Law now campaign and have given much time and effort to making the UK a better place in memory of their lost ones.

It would never be a big enough measure of the debt owed but please pass on my sincere thanks to all concerned, Lagos.
I am fortunate in that I have never lost a famlly member to a tragedy such as Hillsborough. As you say, the efforts of these dedicated individuals and many more like them have helped to make the country more like I was told it was when a child - just and fair. The scandal is that it has taken 97 needlessly lost lives and many years of heartache for the families to achieve even this small but significant step.

This is a great idea Lagers.
I've only ever met two people directly affected by Hillsborough (I'm including our brief 5 minute meet at PR a couple of years ago!).
Your episodic account of the case was engrossing.
Made more engrossing by having the privilege to have met Anne Williams at a union fringe meeting in Southport around 2002/3.
Hearing her describe the loss of her 15 year old son Kevin and her own story of fighting (and losing) against the establishment profoundly affected me.
It brought me much closer to the tragedy and I continue that affinity today.
Charlotte, Sue and Steve have their own tragic stories to tell.
Whilst the upcoming passing of Hillsborough Law into statute may well bring some solace to all those affected, it can never bring back those 97 loved ones.
I don't know where they found the fortitude to keep going after so many set backs, but I pay tribute to all the campaigners, especially Charlotte, Sue and Steve, who kept going for decades before they saw any sort of justice.
And of course, I also remember all those, like Anne, who never got to see this day.
