Paul Murphy, who joins the academy full-time in the summer, won a Republic of Ireland U16 cap as his side lost 3-0 to England at the Montaigu Cup in France on Tuesday afternoon.

Murphy was employed as a wide man before being replaced in the 74th minute, but can also operate as a striker.

Ireland play the USA on Thursday before the semi-finals, final and place play-offs over the weekend.
